The Klansmen Motorcycle Club, founded in Passaic, New Jersey by club president Eddie Harrell, a Patterson school teacher. The clubhouse was in a former dry cleaning and novelty store at Monroe Street and Myrtle Avenue. There were 12 charter members and dozens of honorary members who could socialize with the club members but could not set policy or participate in any club business. They were big with community service for the youth and families in need.

In 1910 the youngest member of the Oakland, California, motorcycle club was 12-year-old W. Wright, of Richmond, California.
He rode a specially cut-down 2¾ h.p. Indian with 26-inch wheels and made an average of 40 m.p.h. in time trials.

1917. Henderson Motorcycles hired famed racer Maldwyn Jones to break the 24-hour solo distance record. Jones arrived at the Cincinnati board-track in the spring of 1917, ready to ride. The run was going well, with Jones setting a blistering pace that was sure to beat the record. About halfway through, a light canister was moved in the middle of the night, causing low visibility on part of the track. Jones bumped the wall, and the ensuing wreck brought the attempt to an abrupt end.
The impact damaged the motorcycle beyond quick repair, and the day was done.
This is the only photo I have ever seen with Jones on a Henderson.
