I am the mother I needed as a child.
Motherhood is a garden…vast, diverse and ever growing. Not two gardens look the same…yet each is tended with care, sacrifice & love.
I am a GOOD mother. But there are many times I struggle in motherhood.
A mother’s love is indescribable. Its unconditional. It’s a love you truly can ONLY experience as a mom. And I’m grateful for this.
I made a promise with an amazing partner that our sons would never get wet from our storms. Our sons will never owe us anything no matter what. They can always come home. And their falls, their failures, the bad will never be used to push them down.
Each one of us have our own unique experience of the definition of motherhood. Some are joyous expedience, some those of strain, others of loss & unknowns.
But they are ours….and they are also not meant to be felt alone.
Just as no garden thrives in isolation, motherhood was never meant to be a solitary journey. It calls for community…for women to stand beside one another, to uplift, to encourage, and to root for each other. In moments of doubt.
It is the shared wisdom and support of others that strengthens the soil beneath our feet.
This Mother’s Day is a reminder that every contribution matters. Every late night, every lesson taught, every sacrifice made…these are the roots that hold everything together.
Happy Mother’s Day to every woman nurturing life, love, and possibility.
Always rooting for you,
