LAKE COUNTRY JUBILEE
CONCERT UPDATE
April 29, 2014
A TRADITION CONTINUES
To many fans, gospel music is "static." That is, it's meant to be sung by four guys around a piano. And sure enough, that's the foundation on which we build today. But, at Lake Country Jubilee we're always looking for "new" talent that God is using to bless His children- and reach the lost. Over the years, we found The Booth Brothers, Greater Vision, The Hoppers and many others too numerous to list here. About a decade ago, we added The Collingsworth Family to that list and Lake Country Jubilee has never been the same! A lot of groups have a great pianist, but there's only one Kim Collingsworth! Once, she walked onto our stage that was dimly lit, and without a word, started playing "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" and ended with the "Hallelujah Chorus." The capacity crowd silently stood, and remained standing, until the end! To say the ovation was "thunderous" understates what happened. Several souls were saved that night!! And, that doesn't even mention their six wonderful voices, twin violins, or Phil's thrilling trumpet playing. And for the "purist", joining the Collingsworth Family will be Triumphant Quartet, America's Favorite Quartet, and Southern Sound. And, it all happens May 17th at the "live edition" of Lake Country Jubilee at the beautiful Terrell Performing Arts Center, 400 Poetry Road in Terrell Texas. The Music starts at 6:30PM. The lobby opens at 5:30PM. Tickets are still available at our 6 ticket outlets, by phone (800-580-2697, and online. Go to www.lakecountryjubilee.com for complete details. Several churches are already making plans to attend. Has yours? We've already sent tickets to fans as far away as Sweden!! Be sure and join us and see what the excitement is all about as we present The Collingsworth Family, Triumphant, and Southern Sound on May 17th at Lake Country Jubilee!!! Below is a picture of Kim at the grand piano when "Heaven Came Down!" Also, when Triumphant Quartet joined in. And the Collingsworth thrilling the crowd last year.
