I was a feminist in grad school. I’m a feminist now as a SAHM. I refuse to jettison the term just because others claim I don’t have the right to it.

...and the People's Choice Winner is....
"Lincoln" by Brenda Bogart
Artist Statement:
Lincoln epitomizes this year’s theme. He lived justly, loved mercy, AND walked humbly with his God. In spite of great controversy he stood strongly against the law of the land to justly defend the equality of man. His love for mercy outweighed any fear of losing his popularity. In spite of his powerful position, he submitted humbly to God’s sovereignty. Even after all these years, there is still no scandal to find on him. He believed in behavior beyond reproach. He remains an iconic American figure and for me, exemplifies the essence of Micah 6:8.

Last day to enjoy the show!
Art goes home with buyers and artists today at 3 pm. Pop by for one last look before then. It was a great exhibition! Thank you to all the artists, volunteers, and 'beholders' that were a part of it. We hope that the conversation on Justice & Mercy continues even after the art is gone. Micah 6:8
