All proceeds of the WOKC Classic support WOKC's mission to offer comfort & hope to kids with cancer through support programs that serve the entire family and fund innovative research that leads to new discoveries in the fight against pediatric cancer.

If you want to see a linebacker who is simply a "tackling machine", Ja'Prei Wafer at Allen is your guy! The senior is a prototype inside linebacker who has been on varsity since his freshman year. He was a 1st team All-District selection in 2024 after posting 150 tackles (including 23 for loss), 4 Qb "hurries", a sack, and an interception. Wafer has 15 college offers!

Melissa's defense has a couple of guys (and many more) who will knock you into next week! Senior safety/linebacker Rocky Dunn has been 1st Team All-District the past two years and has 20+ college offers. Nose tackle Brenham Cherne (6'3"-250) is an explosive player in the middle of the Melissa defense and will play on Saturdays as well!

The Allen Eagles had one of the best defenses in DFW in 2024 - allowing only 13 points per game, and only 219 total yards per game! The Eagles have 8 starters back and should have one of the nastiest defenses in the state in 2025. They will be tested by Midland Legacy in Week 1. Legacy returns the District Newcomer of the Year in QB JP Reyes and a plethora of offensive skill players. Great match-up!

The Allen Eagles have several QB's competing for the top spot. One name to keep an eye on is Ty Snell. Ty's family moved back to Texas last month and Ty started 4 games as an 8th grader on a varsity football team in Tennessee's toughest division. He threw for 893 yards and 4 TD's. He is 6'3"-180 and has offers from Ohio State and Tennessee.

Did you watch former Heisman Trophy winner and future NFL Hall of Famer Derrick Henry run at Alabama or now in the NFL? Power...combined with speed. When I watch Melissa RB Bear Tabor (6'2"-212) run, that's who I think of - Derrick Henry. I am not comparing him to DH or suggesting that he will have a Hall of Fame career - just the style. Tabor is a LOAD to bring down and the Bosco defense will have to contend with him on August 29 at Coach Kenny Deel Stadium!

If you watched the 2024 off-season version of Hard Knocks, you saw a lot of Giants GM Joe Schoen. Joe's son Carson also made a few cameos and he is the starting QB for Don Bosco Prep. Schoen is one of the top QB's in the 2028 class and this should be a tremendous battle as he takes on a very athletic Melissa defense. Don't miss this game - or a chance to help DFW kids with cancer.
