Okay… let’s try this again! 😂🔥
Back in January we teased the idea of bringing back The Buckeye Barbecue Battle. Well… that didn’t happen. But our friend Ryan Grisez from the Grillin’ Grizzlies stopped by Specialty Gas House recently with an idea for a casual fall tailgate/cookout, and it got us talking about the Battle again.
So we're testing the waters!
We’re putting together a small, laid-back tailgate & cookout at Specialty Gas House in Clintonville on Saturday, November 7th for the Ohio State vs. Oregon game. This will NOT be the full Buckeye Barbecue Battle you remember and it might not even be a competition, but it will definitely be a good time.
Think 10–12 cook teams, grills going, good food, football and hanging out. We’ll likely open it up to the community for free, have teams hand out samples for a little while, and maybe mix in some People’s Choice, ridiculous challenges, raffles or whatever else we come up with.
For now, we’re looking for a few more people who might want to cook with us. No commitment yet, we just want to see who’s interested!
