🎃 Should Festival of the Fae host a trunk-or-treat?

It seems our Shieldmaiden has discovered an unexpected opening in the veil—and she has every intention of taking advantage of it.

Here is what we have in mind if there is enough interest:
📅 Friday, October 30
🕕 Beginning at 6 p.m.
🍬 Decorated vehicles and free candy for children
🛍️ Festival vendors selling wares from their displays
🍻 Cold b**r and special treats for adults
✨ Family-friendly Halloween fun on the Festival grounds

I have just discovered that the veil is thinning on its own. 👀✨

After speaking with some of my new human friends, I have been informed that this opening falls upon the weekend you call Halloween.

Naturally, I intend to investigate—and perhaps bring a few others with me. 🎃

The humans have suggested a tradition called a trunk-or-treat. As I understand it, willing souls decorate their vehicles—or carriages, as they ought to be called—and gather in one place to distribute sweets to visiting young adventurers.

Some may also keep special treats for grown travelers, carefully guarded and entirely separate from the children’s treasures. A few familiar Festival merchants—and perhaps some new faces—may even offer wares from their carriages, provided they also bring free candy for the little ones.

I have also heard whispers that the Festival tavern’s stores remain well stocked. Those of age may find a cold b**r waiting beyond the veil. 🍻

The purpose is simple: to create a Halloween gathering where children can collect treasures, adults can enjoy themselves, and families can share the adventure together.

We are considering opening the crossing on Friday, October 30, beginning at 6 p.m. on the Festival grounds.

Before we make preparations, I must know: would your family join us? And who among you would decorate a carriage, distribute candy or adult treats, or sell your wares?

Leave word below. If enough souls answer the call, we shall meet when the veil is thinnest. 🔥

A royal celebration. A court heavy with secrets. A kingdom balanced on the edge of chaos.

And apparently…someone invited the Jarl. ⚔️👀

He will not arrive alone. At his side stands his trusted shieldmaiden looking rather more regal than usual. His brother has answered the same summons, despite the bitter divide between them. And somewhere among the court wanders a bog witch whose motives remain entirely her own.

Surely nothing could go wrong.

When Emberwild opens its gates this Yule, Festival of the Fae will not be entering quietly. Two realms are about to collide, old tensions will follow them into the Queen’s court, and long-buried secrets may finally come to light.

✨ What a weekend in the Realm! ✨

Festival of the Fae came alive with music, fire, laughter, delicious food, incredible entertainment, nearly 100 vendors, and so many wonderfully magical souls.

To every guest who stepped through our gates, every vendor and entertainer who shared their talents, and every staff member and volunteer who helped make it all possible: thank you.

Thank you for dancing with us in Saturday’s rain—and returning beneath Sunday’s sunshine ready for even more adventure. You shopped small, cheered loudly, played boldly, and filled our gathering grounds with exactly the kind of magic this Realm was built to hold.

🕍 THE REALM REMAINS OPEN! ✨

Everyone is having far too much fun to close the gates at 5—so we’re extending the festivities!

The wind is a-blowing but the entertainment is still flowing here at Festival of the Fae.

Due to the weather, buying admission for Saturday's limited event gets you free admission to the festival on Sunday as well! Please come out and see us if you can!
