We are starting Liam’s donation collection tonight. This is 10th collecting donations from family and friends to give back to the families in the NICU, giving 48 gift bags on Christmas Eve.
10 years ago I gave birth to Liam, he was 2 months early. I passed a rare (less than 5 cases worldwide) form of strep C equine to Liam thru birth. We were fortunate to survive. He had to stay for two months in the NICU. On our first night in the nicu we were given a stocking of small gifts. The gifts brought hope and comfort. Knowing we were not alone, countless others had been in our seats before. We were blessed to be able to finally bring our baby home, so many others had not been so lucky.
