Columbia SC Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi

Columbia SC Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi Welcome to the Columbia SC Alumnae Club page! The phone number & email listed is of our President (Nancy Barnhill).

The Club's page is to provide information to our members and prospective members about upcoming Club events, past events, and news. Members and non-members may post comments and photos and communicate with other Pi Phis. Our Club meets 4 to 5 times a year in addition to the Founders' Day luncheon which is traditionally held the last Saturday in April. Meetings are varied to appeal to a wi

de range of our members with some being held at night and others on Saturday. We have three Interest Groups:
The Droopy Carnations is a group of older alums that meets 3 to 4 times a year on an informal basis. Meetings are usually held during the day and may consist of tours of art exhibits, historic homes, or lunch at a favorite restaurant. The Pi Phi Book Club meets every other month at the beautiful 1425 Inn on Richland St. The group enjoys dinner, wine, and a social hour followed by a discussion of a book or books. The Young Alum group meets periodically on an informal basis to enjoy happy hour at a local restaurant or events such as the Columbia Greek Festival. In honor of the birthday of Dr. Seuss the Club holds its Fraternity Day of Service early in March each year at one or more local elementary schools. We usually donate books, have a reading by the Club's Cat-in-the-Hat, and provide each child with a Dr. Seuss cookie and pencil.
