Columbia Infringement Arts Festival

Columbia Infringement Arts Festival An Infringement Arts Festival (IAF) is a grassroots movement that brings attention to social issues through artistic expression.

As a student of USC's honors college, we are required to conduct a senior thesis project to graduate. I attended my first Infringement Festival in my parents hometown, Buffalo, NY, three years ago. The positive attitude and hard work of the entire community was extremely enlightening, and I would like to help encourage this same environment in Columbia (this environment is already growing in Colum

bia. Yay!)

This project proposes that Columbia host an Infringement Arts Festival in March 2015 to further progress in its community development, to give opportunities to all local artists and to bring students into the discussion. The event dates are March 20-22, 2015. If you have any more questions or would like to offer your skills to the project, please contact me via private message or [email protected]. Lisa Ashworth, graphic designer and project partner, can be reached at [email protected]. If you have any skills in graphic design or would like to assist the material distribution please contact.

Hi there, I know the festival was a few weeks ago, but if you attended, it would mean so much if you filled out this really quick survey and gave us some feedback. We want this to happen again, and we can only make it better so please share your thoughts with us.

Hi there! We have a wild table on the loose. Did anyone happen to pick up a stray folding tan colored plastic table from outside Conundrum on Saturday?

I will tag people and accurately describe the photos soon! I just wanted to get them on here quick so everyone can remember this fun weekend.

I also want to thank Dylan Fouste especially for his beautiful artistic contributions, constant support and printing our amazing infringement signs.

Thank you to the Blue Cactus who donated a gift certificate to the community art project, which was won by Julian Lanier.

Thank you everyone who worked hard and contributed to this project!

What a successful weekend! We just want to say thank you to EVERY artist, venue and all those who came out and supported the festival this weekend. We had the most amazing time appreciating art and experimenting in our community. Thank you.

Thank you to all the artists, venues and infringement friends who have come out this weekend for the first Columbia Infringement Arts Festival. We have one last day together.

At 9:00, partner yoga at City Yoga

At 11:00, book/poetry reading at Green Learning Center.

Come celebrate the artist in all of us from 1-2:00 at the MLK community center. Drop in and sketch your selfie.

Two honors college senior thesis projects were kicked out of a local venue tonight because they very slightly challenged the venue's normal customer basis. This is why infringement festivals must exist.

Looking forward to experiencing Ritual Abjects at Conundrum 4:30 today, followed by live filming of a scene for local filmmaker of her film "Witchcraft Now"
