Today’s donor spotlight goes out to Onpointcustomwoodwrk - a local hand-craft woodworking shop with a passion for the outdoors!
An excerpt from Stephen Brooks, Owner and Head Carpenter - On Point Custom Woodwrk was started in 2020, but my passion for woodworking stretches back much further. My journey began at a young age, side-by-side with my dad in our garage, where we tackled projects like building a doghouse. Those early experiences instilled a love for woodworking that has stayed with me. Today, I create everything from handcrafted bottle openers to live edge dining room tables, always striving to honor the natural beauty of the wood. We prioritize using locally and sustainably sourced wood, with a particular fondness for the rich, dark tones of walnut.
Beyond the shop, my life is deeply intertwined with the outdoors. I have a deep love for hunting and fishing, and cherish the time spent with family and friends in nature. This connection fuels a strong desire to support conservation efforts, like Delta Waterfowl, ensuring that future generations can experience the same healthy and abundant habitats. On Point Custom Woodwrk is more than just a business; it’s a way to express this love for the outdoors through fine woodcraft, creating functional art that connects us to the natural world.
