Our Mission:

The Jen McKenna Paddle and Run exists to honor the vibrant spirit of Jennifer McKenna by bringing people together through outdoor sport and recreation, fostering community connection, and generating sustainable support for local nonprofit partners that improve lives and strengthen our community.

The Jen McKenna Paddle and Run is a 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with JCM Multisports Inc.

Registration opens on Wednesday, April 1. For the 4th straight year, we have not raised registration fees. Our annual 24-hour fire sale will happen again. Sneak Peak... the newly formed 501c3 organization, JCM Multisports Inc (which includes the Jen McKenna Paddle and Run), is planning a backyard ultra in Coeur d'Alene in June 2027 (tentative month). Not familiar with the format: a 4.167-mile loop completed every hour on the hour until you can't. Last man or woman standing wins!!! Details coming at the Jen McKenna Paddle and Run 6.0 in September. Stay tuned.

For the 6th edition of the Jen McKenna Paddle and Run, it is the year of choices. You get to choose between the short course or long course. You get to choose if you want to go solo or with teammates. You get to choose if you want try and beat Matt Grogan in the Matt Grogan Challenge. Even better, you get to choose one of three color schemes for the pom beanie and one of 20+ colors for our awesome long-sleeved high quality cotton finisher shirt. Can't get any better than that!!! We are excited to announce that the Jen McKenna Paddle and Run (under the organization JCM Multisports Inc) is officially a 501(c)(3) organization. So donors can now deduct contributions they make to our organization.

Happy New Year to all the paddle runners out there. 2025 is behind us and we had a great year. We look forward to the sixth edition on September 12. Today marks Jen McKenna's 48th birthday. The Jen McKenna Paddle and Run started because of her. Jen showed how having strength and courage can help you achieve anything. Throughout her life she showed everyone that having CF was not going to get her down or stop her from doing some remarkable things. She tackled life head-on and was able to run a 30K trail run in death valley, run several half marathons, kayak, shoot guns, cycle 30-50 miles, work full time, and live out God's plan for her. Even in the toughest of times, the strength and courage she said was monumental... mine is a tiny fraction of the strength and courage of what she had. So, happy heavenly birthday to this amazing woman.
