State of the World Address
When New World Wrestling was first announced, I said something that I've believed from day one:
"This lives or dies with the fans."
The plan was never to become the next giant promotion overnight. Honestly, we set out expecting to run one show, have some fun, showcase some incredible talent, and see what happened.
I'd love to tell you that it took off like a rocket.
It didn't.
And that's okay—we were prepared for that.
What has become increasingly difficult is continuing to pour money into growing New World while trying to keep New World's coffers separate from mine and Ryan's personal lives. Every poster, every piece of merchandise, every ring rental, every idea, every mile driven has been fueled by two people who simply love professional wrestling.
Many of you who follow my personal page, have stopped to talk to me at shows, or have reached out privately know that this past year has been one of the hardest of my life.
A job change. The loss of my best friend. The loss of my mom. And now my wife is preparing for a high-risk surgery.
It's been hit after hit after hit.
I won't speak for Ryan's personal business, but we're both blue-collar guys with blue-collar budgets and blue-collar limits. Mental capacity, time, and finances only stretch so far. Whether New World Wrestling grows into something huge or goes to sleep for a while, we're still husbands, providers, and family men first. There are people much closer to us who need our attention right now.
So with that, I want to announce that the July 11th show in Harriman will be one of our last for the foreseeable future.
This isn't because we've lost our passion. It's quite the opposite.
If another business, organization, or group of sponsors wants to partner with us and enlist us as promoters and bookers—with the financial backing to make it happen—we'd absolutely love to do it. We believe in what we've built.
But I can't keep watering this crop while there's a drought in my own field.
Ryan feels the same way.
This doesn't mean New World Wrestling disappears.
There are still ways to support us. We have merchandise available, and every purchase helps. More importantly, this hiatus gives us the opportunity to focus on our families and our personal lives, because New World has never been—and as long as I'm involved, never will be—a half-assed project.
When we return, I want it to be with renewed energy, renewed creativity, and the ability to give you the experience you deserve every single time that bell rings.
I'm also still working on several projects behind the scenes that I hope will benefit independent wrestling as a whole. I would absolutely love to continue getting booked, shaking hands with fans, working alongside wrestlers, and being part of this incredible community that has welcomed us from day one.
And don't expect this page to go silent. We'll still be posting updates, sharing news, supporting the wrestling scene, and staying connected with all of you.
Finally, if you're looking for great professional wrestling, please continue supporting the promotions that feature many of the same talented men and women you've seen in a New World ring. They meet—and often exceed—the standard that we strive to achieve every single time we put on a show.
Support independent wrestling. Support local promotions. Support the performers who sacrifice so much to entertain all of us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every fan who bought a ticket, shared a poster, cheered a wrestler, booed a heel, bought a shirt, or simply believed in what we were trying to build.
This isn't goodbye.
