What does it take to put on a comicon you ask? Well, for us at AnchorCon it’s equal parts excitement, curiosity, skill, and insanity. Over the last five years, the Clayton Rotary club and the board of AnchorCon has raised tens of thousands of dollars for rotary’s good works, in the community and around the world. AnchorCon wouldn’t be what it has become in just five short years without the support of our community business sponsors, media sponsors, volunteers, and believers. We at AnchorCon have always believed in what we do: a community comicon with all the glamour and entertainment of a big city convention. We strive to be responsive and fair to our guests and vendors, well organized, safe, and fun. We have had so much fun. You helped us prove that the small town of Clayton and a small group of dedicated volunteers could pull off this crazy vision.
Thank you to our sponsors.
Thank you to our partners.
Thank you to our guests.
Thank you to our community.
Thank you to our ticket buyers, who traveled from near and far.
It’s been fun, it’s been real, and we are tired.
At this time our board would like to announce that we are stepping into the TARDIS to find the other adventures that await. As we go boldly into new frontiers we want you to know that we love you 3 thousand.
AnchorCon was a fan-produced convention, completely organized and run by volunteers. We are teachers, parents, actors, music lovers, cosplayers, gamers, and members of fandoms large and small. Some of us are Team Marvel, some Team DC.But ALL of us were proud to be the nerds behind AnchorCon!
Watch for a new and exciting event from Clayton Rotary and until that time: Be excellent to each other.
