Today is Memorial Day.

A day to remember those who gave everything for something greater than themselves.
A reminder that freedom, community, and the lives we build together are often carried on the shoulders of people willing to sacrifice for others.

Today, we also want to remember someone from our own community:
Jay “Dorn” Teller.

Jay decided to leave us on July 28th, 2025, and today we honor his memory alongside everyone we have lost too soon.

This post is also meant to be a reminder to every single person here:

You are not alone.

No game, no ranking, no tournament result, no life situation is ever more important than you being here tomorrow.

If anyone is struggling, hurting, overwhelmed, or simply needs someone to talk to, please reach out to me personally. I will gladly give you my personal phone number and make time for you.

No judgment.

There are moments in life where the tabletop community becomes more than dice, armies, and weekends spent around a table. This is one of those moments.

Our friend Charles “Chuck” Jones from Jackson, Tennessee recently suffered a major heart attack. Doctors discovered one artery was 100% blocked and another was 75% blocked. Chuck underwent emergency procedures and had two stents placed.

Thankfully, he is still with us. ❤️

But the road ahead is not easy.

Chuck will be unable to work for at least the next four weeks, and right now he has no income coming in at all. To make things even harder, his wife is already disabled following her own heart attack, and together they are raising their teenage daughter while trying to navigate this storm.

Because of the blood thinners he now has to take, Chuck cannot even donate plasma to help make ends meet.

Nobody should have to fight this battle alone.

If you have ever shared a table with Chuck, laughed with him, rolled dice with him, or simply believe that community means standing beside people when life hits hardest, we are asking you to help however you can.

Every donation matters.
Every share matters.
Every message of support matters.

In addition, during our June event we will also be running a special fundraiser raffle to help support Chuck and his family during this difficult time. We will share more details soon, and we hope the community rallies behind him the same way it always has when one of our own needs help most.
