The Big Teeth Small Shorts Film Fest is back for our Winter 2026 program, and we’re bringing 33 micro-masterpieces to the big screen at Facets.

Since 2019, we’ve built this fest to be more than just a screening—it’s a “good hang” for the Chicago creative community. Whether you’re a total film snob or a Netflix and Chill, you’re going to see blends of genres, styles, and languages that you won’t find anywhere else.

Why you need a ticket:
    •    The Variety: 30+ films from around the globe, all under 5 minutes. If you don’t like one, wait a few minutes and the next one will kill.

    •    The Vibe: It’s social, it’s communal, and it’s about bringing people together to support independent art.

5 years ago this month, in the throes of the pandemic, we did an outdoor screening that was months in the making.

This was our third ever screening and was meant to be earlier in the year indoors (prior to finding our home at ). Selections had been made and come hell or high water we were going to give these filmmakers work an audience. So we worked with to set up a proper screening in their parking lot in the awesome neighborhood.

While it was a smaller than usual crowd we still did what we do - give a killer live show in the city of Chicago to a group of people who are down for a fun, arty, cool night out. And introduce a spate of amazing filmmakers from across the globe to a new audience.
