Dear friends,
Our annual Belgian-American Club of Chicago's annual picnic is coming up on Saturday, August 23th. We wanted to send you details on time, place, food and drink and activities for adults and kids.
The picnic will be at Erickson Woods, 1651 Willow Road, Winnetka, IL, 60093. It is just off the Edens expressway, Willow East exit, via the parking lot just north of Willow, right when you get onto Willow. The picnic will last from 12 pm to 5 pm. The picnic will be catered with meat burgers, vegan burgers, brats, hot dogs, potato salad, krautspätzle and spätzle noodles in bacon drippings. There will also be (free) beer and non-alcoholic drinks (La Croix flavored water). We will have a raffle and there will be games for adults and kids as well (water balloons, egg race, soccer goal, bags, pinata,...), with prizes. We shall provide updates on sponsors closer to the event.
As always - for your comfort: the BACC is providing a clean, hygienic and convenient private port-o'-let only available to our group.
In spite of rising costs in food, drinks, permit, sanitation, and insurance, we are maintaining the lowest possible price for this year's participants: The fee for the picnic is $20 per person for adults and kids 13+. Kids 12 and under can attend for free. Please remember that we do not charge any annual membership fees. Please reply to this email by Friday August 15th if you plan to attend so we can have a confirmed headcount for the caterers, and please send payment in advance by Zelle or by check. If by Zelle, send to our treasurer, Christine Voss at her email address, [email protected]. If by check, please make checks out to Christine Voss and mail them to the following address:

We are looking for volunteers to help with games, registration, pinata etc, so please let us know if you can help with that.
Any questions, please reply to this email address or to any of our leadership group.
We look forward to seeing you on August 23th!
Warmest regards,
The BACC organizing group
