ITS B-SERIES WEEK! Check out all we have going on, all for FREE this week before Saturday’s main Battle and Jam.

THURSDAY 2/26: B-PRESENT Town Hall - Hip-Hop/Street Dance & Healing

Three expert panelists share their healing-centered work and intersections with Hip-Hop & Street Dance: Lacouir Yancey (B-boy Spirit), Dr. Courtney Domenico and Jonathan St. Clair (B-boy InLight).  The Town Hall will include speaking, Q&A, and opportunities to experience some elements of their practice.

FRIDAY 2/27: Lacouir Yancey (B-Boy Spirit) - Freedom Movement Therapy Class and B-Series Takeover of Dance Professionalism

Freedom Movement Therapy (FMT) is a somatic mindful movement system designed for both community-based programming and university-level dance education, supporting dancers and movers in developing greater body awareness, emotional regulation, and expressive range through embodied practice. Rooted in Hip Hop movement culture and grounded in martial arts foundations, FMT blends breath work, sensation-based awareness, rhythmic training, and guided improvisation to help participants release habitual tension patterns, improve movement efficiency, and deepen the mind–body connection for performance, healing, and personal growth.

Then, guest artists Kiana Cook (K.C.) and Lacouir Yancey (B-boy Spirit) share professional development and industry insights with The Business of Dance through their decades long careers at the intersections of street dance, community, and healing.

SATURDAY 2/28: Main Battle and Jam!
