[Plus ID (+ID) Methodology]. How much does a 3D model like this cost to be acquired?
We have been improving the workflow. Cicero learned how to program in Python, and jointly with Dr. and Dr. Dornelles they have been optimizing Blender for Orthognathic surgery. They programmed and branded OrtogOnBlender. They did a great job putting in a sequence, the buttons you need to do surgical planning. Actually, it works for everything you need. You can align CT’s, MRI’s, Dental Models, Photogrammetry and plan whatever you want. Includes Guide’s design.
Yesterday, I was almost an hour in a videoconference with Cicero answering some questions of the usage of the new version of Blender 2.8 & OrtogOnBlender, and this is the result:
A 3D model acquired from captures of a smartphone and transformed through monoscopic photogrammetry of an Open Source Software (OrtogOnBlender) in a computer. Just a smartphone and a computer. No paid license, No specific-made hardware to 3D scanning, No over costs.
I love all technologies, all of them has its own context. The only thing I support is the best choice for you will be to learn and not letting businesses earn money with your ignorance. These 5 years were fully filled with hard emotions, challenges, ups, and downs while we climbed one step at a time this endless stairway as a TEAM. But never with fear to push boundaries and to challenge actual solutions to be even better. That is my only point, improvement for the benefit of all social contexts. Mars may have fully filled resources to invest, but Billions of people around the world are treated in health systems that DO NOT.
We have used all the technologies that we have found in our way. There are dozens of software for monoscopic photogrammetry which progressively we have been testing, including the latest smartphone apps like Bellus3D and similars. But nothing will be compared to the sense of freedom and professional manipulation of data that we feel by using OrtogOnBlender as a Professional OpenSource Software. Each solution has its own context.
