Despite a power outage for many around the lake the 20th annual Palmer Lake Flotilla had a great turn out. Thanks so much to all of our participants. The winners are:
1st place boat #4 belonging to the Wagner family
2nd place boat #9 belonging to the O’Shea family
3rd place boat # 3 belonging to the Carney family

1st place shoreline went to the Christophersons
2nd place shoreline went to the Bufords
3rd place shoreline went to Almanzas & Schergs

The annual Palmer Lake Flotilla is this week. Saturday July 4th, 2026 starting at 4:00. It’s not too late to sign up for a boat or a shoreline entry, all are welcome. No boat or shoreline decoration is too big or too small. There are currently 6 boat entries and 7 shoreline entries. A map of the shoreline entries will be posted before the event for those that want to check them out before the parade starts. This years theme is Happy Birthday America. Celebrating birthdays and especially Americas 250th birthday. There are prize baskets, trophies, and bragging rights for the best shoreline and boat entries. Please remember our sponsors, Gilbert’s Shell, Five Star Pizza, Gramma Netties Cheese Cakes, The Parlor, and Headquarters Salon. A special thanks to Pam Gilbert for the prize baskets. Pam has been a supporter of this event for many years and creates the prize baskets for the winners. This year’s winners will enjoy boat bags, yard games, snacks and other items to make summer time more fun.

We are less than a month away from the Palmer Lake Flotilla; 7/4/26 at 4:00. Everyone should consider participating as we celebrate "Happy Birthday, America!" The attached map shows shoreline entries that are already signed up. There is plenty of room for more entires, both by boat and on land.
