The Bracket Challenge

The Bracket Challenge Bowling tournament where striking ain't easy.

Messing around with AI this afternoon...

Whatever does Yeet The Strike mean?!

01/13/2026

People love to talk.
I like to strike.

If you’re curious, you already know what to do.
If you’re skeptical, that’s fine too.

Either way, I’ll be waiting.

I’m giving away a ball every day at 900global.com.
Keep entering.
You probably won’t win.

Well that was certainly a weekend for the books for us!

Thank you to the 113 bowlers who came out this past weekend to the Pigeon Forge No Tap and Pigeon Forge Scratch events.

Congratulations to Ricky Spiva for outlasting 53 other bowlers to come away with the no tap win with a score of 1161.

For the scratch event, it was the first one we had with a seperate Senior / Ladies division and it looked to pay dividends as we had 9 in that division. Congratulations to Jeremy Adams on his win with a 5 game total of 946.

For the main division, we had 56 entries, with no reentries from squad A. After qualifying was over, Josh Lewis led with a 1039, and Spiros Schenk was the only other bowler to qualify in the plus at 1033. We are cutting to the top 12 this year but continuing to pay 1 in 4. We were able to pay 14 spots this weekend. After the dust settled, it was Josh Lewis coming away with the victory over Spiros by a score of 258 to 196.

Congratulations Josh on your 16th Bracket Challenge title.

The Bracket Challenge

We are a scratch bowling tournament that is held exclusively in the Western North Carolina region between Asheville, Sylva, and Cherokee. We were the FIRST scratch tournament to be held inside a Casino (UltraStar Multitainment Center).

Our format is simple -- bowl 6 games, usually moving one pair left after each game, on a PBA or Kegel Challenge shot. After 6 games, we cut to the top 12 and bowl head to head to determine our monthly winner.

This year, we have started a Player of the Year, for a chance at $2000! To be eligible, you must bowl 7 of the 11 stops AND finish in the top 8 in points. If there aren’t enough after 11 stops, we will expand the field to beyond the top 8 as long as you have bowled a minimum of 7 stops.
