Power Up USA is proud to celebrate another graduating class from the Mecklenburg Nutrition Program at West Charlotte Rec Center, supported through the City of Charlotte Learn to Earn Grant. After 14 hours of training, these seniors gained valuable skills in basic computers, cybersecurity, telehealth, and more. Best of all, each senior received a free laptop or tablet.
From 55 to 90 years young, this class proved that it’s never too late to learn, grow, and level up!
Congratulations to this wonderful class for their commitment and success!

I’m honored to be in Raleigh today for , representing Power Up USA!

Art is more than just performance—it is a workforce driver and an educational pillar. Today, I’m advocating for the vital role that arts education plays in the lives of our youth and our seniors alike.

As we gear up for the 16th Annual Charlotte Black Film Festival and the 6th Annual Queen City Arts Festival, it is more important than ever to show our legislators how the creative economy fuels Charlotte's growth. Looking forward to meeting with Rep. Terry M. Brown Jr. and Rep. Caleb Theodros tomorrow to discuss the future of Districts 92 and 41!

Let’s keep powering up the arts in NC. ⚡️
