A new addition to this year’s Credit One Charleston Open 🍽️ 🌴
The Kitchen, a newly-built restaurant near the pickleball courts, was created to bring Lowcountry-inspired flavors, fresh local ingredients and a laid-back Charleston dining experience to the tournament all week long. It quickly became a go-to spot for fans to relax, recharge and enjoy classic Southern dishes between matches.
The Kitchen also served as a real-world classroom for College of Charleston students enrolled in the semester-long HTMT 360: OVG Hospitality at Credit One Charleston Open course. Throughout the spring, students worked alongside OVG Hospitality to learn about food costs, logistics, marketing and guest experience before stepping into front-of-house roles during tournament week. From hosting to food running, students helped manage day-to-day operations while gaining hands-on experience in live event hospitality.
