This is the answer to the question I asked on my las post. What Iā€™m doing different is using KT88s instead of EL34s or 6L6 GCs. The hint was the tube retainer clip and springs. KT88s are too big for the tube retainer clips used for smaller octal tubes.

This is a special build, but Iā€™m doing something with this that I usually donā€™t do. Both pictures thereā€™s an indicator of what that is. Can you tell what it is?

$1399 for the amp and cab! Who want some Procyon Special Build? This Special Build is made with a used Edcor (Made in USA) output transformer, used Edcor power transformer, and a vintage NOS choke. These transformers are pretty big and rival 50 watt iron. There is only one speaker output which is 16 ohm. It is a Procyon circuit with NOS Soviet (Russian) 63PS power tubes which are the equivalent to 5881 power tubes. The 12AX7 pre amp tubes are generic Chinese tubes. It come in a legacy Sloane Amp cab that was coated in Raptor Bedliner. There are holes on the bottom for the chassis that was in it before this amp which can be seen in the pics. Included is a legacy 1X12 oversized Sloane Amp speaker cab with a 16 ohm Celestion Vintage 30. This cab is built with 3/4ā€ Baltic Birch and also coated with Raptor Redliner. All Special Builds come with the same Sloane Amplification Warranty as all the other amps. The amp head will be shipped for free but please contact me for quote to ship the speaker.

This Procyon Special Build will be posted tomorrow with a matching 1x12 cab that has a Celestion Vintage 30.

Next Special Build is on the bench. Used Edcor Transformers (made is USA), and an NOS Thordarson choke. The OT is much bigger than my production OT so I am anticipating bigger sound. It will have a pair of 5881s for power tubes which should easily put ot 30 watts plus.
