Gardens at the John Wornall House Museum are lovingly tended by a dedicated group of volunteer Master Gardeners. Please join them on April 25 from 9 a.m. to noon to see the gardens, get your garden questions answered, and receive free herbs while supplies last.

𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐯𝐞 𝐏π₯𝐚𝐧𝐭 π’πšπ₯𝐞 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐒π₯ πŸπŸ– - 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐒𝐭𝐲, 𝐌𝐎 The Missouri Prairie Foundation will hold a native plant sale on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64110 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Vendors selling native plants and native plant products include City Roots Nursery, Gaylena's Garden, Leaf&Sky, Missouri Wildflowers Nursery, Ozark Soul Native Plants, and Sow Wild Natives.

Though β€œEarly birds” who arrive prior to 10 a.m. will be asked to wait until the advertised start time to begin browsing product selections and making purchases, everyone may pre-order plants and have their orders ready for pick up at the event if they desire! Powell Gardens has officially acquired Colonial Gardens and its sister company KAT Wholesale, both located in Blue Springs, MO. This beloved retail garden center and agritourism destination will now operate as Powell Gardens Colonial Farms, a second site of Powell Gardens dedicated to agriculture, education, and family experiences.

Long known as a place for plant lovers and landscapers to shop plants, learn new skills, and enjoy seasonal farm traditions, Colonial Gardens blends retail, agriculture, and education in one hands-on destination.

The Missouri Prairie Foundation and Grow Native! program are proud to host an even bigger and better lineup of 10 native plant sales this spring!

Grow Native! Professional members participating in these sales include City Roots Nursery, Gaylena's Garden, Gnomes For Natives, Grindstone Wildflowers, Hawthorn Chapter of MONPS, Leaf&Sky, Missouri Wildflowers Nursery, Ozark Soul Native Plants, Papillon Perennials, Prairie Hill Farm, River City Natives LLC, Sam’s Native Nursery and Restoration Services, Sur Landscape Architecture, and more! Facebook events will be shared for each sale this week, so keep an eye out.
