As therapists, we give so much of ourselves every day.

We hold space for trauma, support clients through their darkest moments, and show up with compassion even when we’re running on empty.

But for many of us, especially BIPOC clinicians, the weight of systemic racism, microaggressions, emotional labor, and constant over-responsibility can quietly lead to deep burnout and compassion fatigue.

I created this training because I’ve been there, and I know so many of you have too.

Restoring the Healer: Addressing Burnout Through a Culturally Informed Lens is not another generic self-care workshop.

This is a space where we honestly address the unique challenges faced by diverse clinicians and learn practical, culturally attuned tools to:

Set boundaries without guilt
Release over-responsibility
Regulate your nervous system
Reconnect with your own cultural healing practices
Rebuild sustainable energy and resilience

For so many clients, the wound is not just trauma itself, it’s the deep sense of disconnection that follows.

Disconnection from the body, from relationships, from safety, and often from the natural world around them.

In my clinical work, I’ve seen how nervous system regulation and healing can shift when clients are given space to reconnect through sensory awareness, embodied practices, and nature-informed therapeutic experiences.

Healing does not always happen only through words.

Sometimes it happens through presence, grounding, movement, attunement, and restoring a sense of belonging.

This training explores how ecopsychology and attachment-focused practices can support trauma healing, emotional regulation, resilience, and relational repair in meaningful, clinically relevant ways.

Participants will learn somatically-informed interventions that can be integrated into contemporary therapeutic practice to deepen client connection and support long-term healing.

If you’re looking to expand your clinical toolbox with experiential, body-based, and nature-informed approaches, this workshop offers practical strategies you can begin applying in your work immediately.

I’ll be honest with you…

For years I focused on traditional talk therapy, but I kept noticing that many clients carried a deeper kind of disconnection — not just from themselves or others, but from the natural world around them.

That disconnection seemed to make trauma feel heavier and healing slower.

Then I discovered the powerful intersection of Ecopsychology and attachment work.

This training opened a whole new door for me. Nature isn’t just a nice backdrop for therapy — it becomes a living partner in healing.

In Ecopsychology and the Ecology of Attachment, Livia Adia Budrys shares practical, somatically-informed ways to bring nature into clinical practice — using Equine-Assisted, Nature-Based, and experiential methods to restore nervous system regulation, repair attachment wounds, and rebuild a profound sense of belonging.

You’ll learn how ecological disconnection contributes to distress and how intentional connection with the natural world can deepen trauma healing and emotional resilience.

If you’re ready to expand your clinical toolbox with embodied, nature-connected approaches, this workshop is for you.
