Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet Kate Sackhoff at Baltimore Comic-Con 2026. My friends and I secured a photo op, but the resulting image wasn't particularly impressive, so I took steps to enhance the background.

Lady J is the founder of Lady J Nerdy Enterprises, LLC and a proud, Philadelphia-based, published cosplayer. Her passion for cosplay goes beyond costumes as she sees it as a powerful way to connect, express creativity, and celebrate the heroes (and villains) who inspire us. Through cosplay, she champions Cospositivity; a message of inclusion and acceptance for all shapes, sizes, colors, genders, skill levels, and backgrounds.

Lady J uses her platform to give back in big ways. She’s a founder and owner of the cosplay charity group Philadelphia Avengers, LLC, dedicated to using fandom for good. She's also known as Philly Yellow in the Philadelphia POWER Rangers, and her love for the franchise inspired her to help launch Go Go Ranger Station, the very first all-Power Ranger convention in the Philadelphia area.

Her event planning journey began with Ranger Station Season, and it’s only grown from there. She now runs her own X-Men inspired gathering, Mutant and Proud , a celebration of fandom and individuality inspired by the iconic Hellfire Club.

As part of her enterprise, Lady J also runs Lady J Nerdy Shop, dedicated to delivering geeky goodness at affordable prices through unique merchandise and fan-focused events. She also founded Lady J Vintage Wear, blending retro fashion with a nerdy twist to bring fandom flair to classic styles.
