All Tourneys for Nevis were Ethan Buckholtz & Tjark Sheppeit

Tjark Sheppeit was also the recipient of our "Big Worm" Big Man Award for the tournament!

Ethan Buckholtz was named the winner of "The Glove" All Defensive Award!

We're officially less than 24 hours away from tip-off! Before all the action and competition officially begin, come join us as we start our Inaugural Pathways to Wellness Tournament the right way with an Opening Ceremony! ✨

Our opening ceremony will feature:
A Welcoming Prayer for all participating teams
The Drum Song performed by the Cedar Island Singers!
A traditional Pipe Ceremony led by Michael Smith Jr
A warm Welcoming address from Leon Staples Jr.

Stack n' Drizzle will also be open for a delicious breakfast 🥞, so be sure to get some good eats to start your day strong before the tournament action begins!

Test your shooting skills from different spots on the court for a chance to rack up points fast — and earn bonus points for hitting all five hot spots!

All players, coaches, referees, scorekeepers, and volunteers will receive one free meal from any of our food vendors during the Pathways to Wellness Youth Basketball Tournament! 🙌

Spectators are welcome to purchase meals directly from vendors at regular menu prices.

💵 Please note: There is no ATM on site, so bring cash if possible to make purchases easier and faster!

Our Pathways to Wellness Tournament is finally happening this weekend (Nov 1-2, 2025) at Cass Lake-Bena Schools, FREE ADMISSION and we’re inviting all our families, friends, and community members to come out, cheer on our youth, and celebrate wellness through sport and community!

This isn’t just a tournament — it’s a gathering of our youth, families, and communities from across the region, coming together to support one another and promote healthy, positive living. Come see amazing games featuring divisions from 3rd–12th grade, enjoy good food vendors, community, and help us celebrate and support the next generation of leaders and athletes.

Let’s fill the stands, lift our youth up, and make this a weekend full of positive energy, connection, and pride. Bring your family, wear your team colors, and help cheer on the future of our communities.

Hosted by Happy, Healthy, Safe Youth of Leech Lake & Boys & Girls Club of Leech Lake Area
