In partnership with Classic American Fords, this year’s Car Show at the Butner Summer Festival will feature an impressive lineup of classic and custom vehicles.

We hope you’re already getting your ride cleaned up, polished, and ready to roll because we can’t wait to see what shows up this year.

Want to be part of it? Bring your vehicle and register day-of between 7:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The first 100 registered entries will receive a commemorative dash plaque, sponsored by Steve’s Auto!

The Butner Summer Festival, previously known as the Butner Chicken Pickin, has grown into one of our community’s most anticipated annual traditions while still honoring its roots. A signature part of that history is the beloved BBQ chicken cookoff.

This year’s festival will feature four chicken cookers offering fresh BBQ chicken and plate sales, along with a wide variety of food truck vendors serving something for everyone. From local favorites to sweet treats and savory bites, there will be plenty to enjoy throughout the day.

We hope you’ll stop by, enjoy some great food, and take part in a great day at the Butner Summer Festival!

The countdown is on! Next week, kick off the weekend at the Butner Summer Festival Dance on Friday, June 5, from 7:00–10:00 p.m. at the Soldiers Memorial Sports Arena, sponsored by the Butner Community Association and featuring live music by The Ray Band.

Then join us on Saturday, June 6, as the Town of Butner, in partnership with Granville Health System, hosts the 32nd Butner Summer Festival in the heart of Butner, NC. Enjoy a full day of food, live entertainment, shopping, and family fun with more than 80 food and craft vendors, performances by Relay Relay and Envision Band, Spotlight Dance, Commander Cheer, a Classic Car Show, BBQ Chicken Cook-Off Contest, tractor display, Kids Zone, rock climbing wall, face painting, bouncy houses, and more.

From interactive play areas and exciting inflatables to a rock climbing tower and face painting, there’s something for kids of all ages to enjoy all day long. Families will also be able to check out the new ADA-compliant playground at Gazebo Park, open during the festival for even more inclusive fun.
