The Rust Music was co-founded by Wyler Sanca, Francesco Ferran, and Malakai Linden. The blog portion of The Rust was founded by Wyler Sanca in November of 2014. It was created for the writer to be able to share his musical passions with the world and to shed light on the beautiful work being made by artists from all over. There are many creatives in all sorts of disciplines who aren't getting the

recognition that they truly deserve, and The Rust was designed to give those artists the chance to be heard. After several years of writing articles, curating playlists, and building a network of incredible musicians, the label and management portion of The Rust was launched. The Rust Music is a Digital Record Label and Management company devoted to discovering and sharing untapped talent and pushing quality and innovation within the realm of sound. Music has had a profound effect on each and every person involved in this project, and this community. Our goal is simply to help connect the deserving creative with their proper audience.

Ahead of his upcoming album release in July, we're incredibly excited to let you in on the next evolution of Lapa’s project with 'Rune', the first single from the Helix LP

Co-created with friend and frequent collaborator, Cedar Miller, Rune builds on the calmer, instrumentally-driven sound of Lapa’s earlier works, showcasing a textural approach to sound and composition that speaks to new forms and new approaches in his ever growing palette. Deliciously downtempo and organic in its arrangement, rolling low-end couples with delicate harmonies and arpeggios, making ‘Rune’ a sleek and efficient reintroduction to the Lapa project.

Denver-based visual artist David Schunemann, known professionally as , has built a reputation for manually performing immersive visuals in real time using custom effects, projection mapping, and MIDI-controlled animation, bringing cinematic depth and intentional storytelling to the artists fortunate enough to work with him. Denver’s visual underground is in full spotlight tomorrow, on May 28, at Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom as Actualize and present their collaborative audiovisual project, Actual Crane, rooted in Denver’s thriving art-forward electronic scene. Ahead of this resounding evening, we had the chance to dive in with Schunemann about his recent experience at Red Rocks and what he’s got in store for this upcoming showcase.

Exclusive Interview with Entangled Mind 🎩✨

Entangled Mind is guided by curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to be free of boundaries. That openness is perhaps what makes their performances so compelling; no two moments are ever the same, and each set is shaped as much by the room as the people in it.

Whether it’s carefully curated melodies layered over pulsing basslines, or organic jams reshaped into immersive electronic journeys, Entangled Mind reflects the conversation between instinct, influence, and presence.

The Rust had an opportunity to speak with them ahead of their upcoming performance alongside the Supersillyus Lifeband and friends at Brooklyn’s Fine and Raw Chocolate Factory. We sat down to talk about creative evolution, physics, the artistic struggle and how intuition plays a role in shaping a live set.
