We are home from The Kentucky State Youth Benefit Show today! Harper had a great day on the tables and the boys had the best time playing with friends. Hayden took a nap with Cathy, Hudson played with Bryleigh all day, and Harper had a migraine after lunch and was not feeling her best. She finally got to falling better and we are all so thankful!

Harper has decided to offer up Gootee Family Farms Boog. He was 3rd broken jr buck at Nationals. Super nice little buck, just totally overwhelmed with bucks right now. He will be in Somerset this weekend.

Home from a fun day at the Capital City shows in Frankfort today! Both Harperā€™s Mini Rex and our Silvers had a great day on the tables! Hudson is showing with us in open and loves getting to play with his rabbit at the show. While his name is Nelly, Hudson lovingly refers to him as Bunny.

Canā€™t let this go without a huge thank you to Harperā€™s bestie Allyse for sending her Gorgina home at nationals. I talked with Allyse and told her what Harper was looking to improve this breeding season and as always she over delivers ā¤ļø. Sheā€™s a piece for her ever evolving puzzle and we are so grateful to Allyse for loving our girl and helping her so much!

With lots of babies in the box and an 11 year old at the helm, itā€™s all the more important the rabbits are easily handleable. Harper starts handling and socializing babies around 4 weeks. Itā€™s her favorite thing to do lol. Hoping some of these will make the cut in a few weeks!

Did you even go to nationals if you donā€™t come straight home and go through the entire barn and breed does like crazy? Just us? Harper has lots of Mini Rex litters due and got more bred this week, excited to add ARS Stellar to her buck lineup. For silvers we have lots of litters coming up in all 3 colors! Itā€™s going to be a fun spring here. Just counting down until the litters are ready to start doing numbers on! Thatā€™s one of our favorite barn/family things to do.

We are heading home from a great trip to Texas for Mini Rex Nationals! Harper had the time of her life getting to hangout with her bestie Allyse, their friendship is the absolute sweetest ā¤ļø. Harper had a good day on the show tables, she took 13 rabbits and 11 of the 13 came in the top 5! Some highlights were GFF Eliza Otter Sr Doe 4/32, GFF Gopher Snake Black Sr Buck 3/27, and River Road Rabbitryā€™s Leia winning BOV Blue Eyed White! Parker gifted this doe to Harper over a year ago, weā€™re hoping she is bred! If you know Harper, you know she loves her blue eyed whites.

Also she would like everyone to know that her showmanship rabbit GFF Bobby Flay was the 2nd place otter jr buck and while we may not agree he is ā€œthatā€ nice she will fight to the death that he is šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Hudson looks forward to going to the barn every night and heā€™s such a big helper! He has started showing silvers with us and he loves getting to pet them. Watering and feeding the ones he can reach and getting to hang with everyone in the barn has become his and ours favorite end to the day.

We donā€™t have many pictures, actually only 2 of 2 sleepy boys lol, to post because we were too busy hanging out with friends but we had such a great time at Silver Nationals in Lafayette. Noah puts on such a well ran show! Highlights of showing were Harper picked up 2 BOB with a broken sr buck, BOS with same buck, and BOS with an otter Sr Doe, all Gootee Family Farm bred!
