💜 DAY 14 — SEPTEMBER SU***DE PREVENTION AWARENESS MONTH 💜
As we begin a new week, the Brandon Veterans’ Post and Park Association, Inc. is reminding everyone that su***de prevention does not always begin with a professional—it can begin with YOU simply checking on someone.
💜 TODAY’S TIP: CHECK ON SOMEONE
A phone call. A text message. A visit. A simple “How are you really doing?” can make a difference.
Sometimes the people who appear the strongest are carrying battles they have never spoken about. Don’t wait until someone asks for help before you show them you care.
Reach out intentionally. Listen without judgment. Be present.
You may not be able to solve everything they are facing, but you can remind them:
“You matter. You are valued. You are not alone. I’m here, and we can find help together.”
💜 REACH OUT — Check on someone today.
💜 LISTEN — Give them your undivided attention.
💜 SUPPORT — Encourage professional help when needed.
💜 BE A LIGHT — Your kindness may be the reason someone keeps going.
💜 SPREAD HOPE — Small actions can help build stronger, healthier communities.
