We want to recognize two UCSB students, Derrick Chan and Donovan Truel, who just joined one of the most exclusive clubs in triathlon — Wildflower Cubed! They completed the long course, Olympic, and sprint races all in a single weekend, a feat so rare that only a 2 other athletes, including Ian Murray, have ever accomplished. And if that wasn't enough, Donovan Truel also took home the Wildflower Squared Competition title with a finishing time of 8:28:13!

Wildflower Experience 2026 — DAY 3 / Last Day

The last day always hits a little different.

Legs are heavy, and voices are gone from the last 2 days, but somehow there’s still something left…

Olympic distance and road sprint triathlon was on deck on Sunday. Final races. Final miles. Final finish lines.

Wildflower has always been more than a race — it’s a full weekend experience. A place where community shows up, stories are shared, and people come together year after year.

Athletes, volunteers, staff, and everyone behind the scenes who make this weekend what it is.

Thank you for showing up, putting in the work, and building something bigger than the race itself.

And just like that… another Wildflower in the books.
