Goddess Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity and the wife of Lord Vishnu. Her name is derived from the Sanskrit word "Laksya", which means 'aim' or 'goal'.
Worship Goddess Lakshmi, not only to seek material items, such as money, cars, but to seek a higher knowledge, a wealth of understanding, compassion and love, the fortune to help others, be good to the Earth and all its inhabitants, big or small, and the prosperity that comes from living a whole life, a full life of material gain for ourselves and our families, of spiritual gain from seeking knowledge beyond the known, and devotional gain from living a life of giving, sharing, and love.
