📣Calling all challengers!📣
The Matchplay tournament is SATURDAY at Jackson Park on the XL layout. Format is 9 holes per challenge, double elimination tournament.
Will there be a new winner or will a past champion continue their right?
How does it work?
📌Play to win the hole, not count every stroke.
📌For balance, lower rated players gain advantages they can use.
Advantage Calculations:
Higher rated player rating minus the lower rated player rating. Then, divide by 15 and round up to determine number of advantages.
Players within 5 rating points get no advantages.
Example if Player A is rated 980 and playing Player B who is 896 rated, here is the math:
(980-896)/15 = 5.73
After rounding up, Player B receives 6 advantages to use during the round. The advantages include shorter teepads, ignoring mandos, or ignoring island rules on a specific hole.
Since it is double elimination you are guaranteed at least 2 rounds but we will also allow players to challenge each other after being eliminated!!!!
