Thank you for visiting our Boston Marathon team page, in memory of our friend Krystle. Krystle was one of the three victims who lost their life on April 15th, 2013 in the bombings at the Boston Marathon finish line. Krystle was a close friend to many throughout the Boston area. She worked as a restaurant and catering manager for many years at the Summer Shack in Boston, MA and had most recently be
en a manager at Jimmy’s Steer House in Arlington, MA. Krystle’s family and friends enjoy celebrating her life by remembering her infectious energy and enthusiasm, her love of family and friends, and her kind-hearted nature that is displayed toward all. Krystle is survived by her parents, Patricia and William Campbell, and her brother Billy Campbell and his son Billy Jr. Bill and Patty Campbell have reached out to a group of Krystle’s close friends to utilize the numbers to develop a team of runners as well as organize and host a variety of events to promote donations to the Krystle Campbell Memorial Fund at The Boston Foundation. The Boston Foundation receives gifts from a variety of different donors and utilizes those resources to make grants to nonprofit organizations that serve the Greater Boston community. Bonnie Fleischer, Erin Daly and Elliott Nerland have taken the lead in identifying runners on a yearly basis to raise funds. Please feel free to share this page with as many people as you’d like! We hope to see you at an event in the near future.
