I am honored and SO excited to be a part of Team MR8 for my 1st time running the 2017 Boston Marathon! As most of you know, Team MR8 supports The Martin Richard Foundation which honors Martin’s message of “No more hurting people. Peace” by investing in education, athletics and community. The Martin Richard Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation formed by the parents of eight-year-old
Martin Richard, who was killed in the bombing at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. After his death, a photo of Martin holding a handmade poster that read “No more hurting people, Peace” was shared over the Internet and touched the hearts of many. The Martin Richard Foundation honors his message of peace by investing in education, athletics and community. To Martin, peace meant things like togetherness, teamwork, fairness, sportsmanship, inclusion, and simple acts of kindness. His Foundation strives to encourage youth and adults to improve the lives of others and become bridge builders, peacemakers, leaders and entrepreneurs. My goal is to raise $7,500 and train to run 26.2 miles throughout Boston by April 2017. Throughout the next few months, I will be hosting events and sending prizes for donations given. No donation is too small. Please help me share Martins messages by inviting friends, family and co workers to my group and events! Any questions please text or call me:
