Children’s Cancer Research Fund (CCRF) is dedicated to ending childhood cancer. The road to better treatment options and cures always starts with riders and fundraisers like you. With only 4 percent of federal funding available for childhood cancer research, our support sparks new ideas and propels research forward. This is absolutely crucial to improving outcomes for children. Since 1981, we’ve contributed over $200 million to research, support programs for children and families, and education and awareness outreach. Approved by Charities Review Council

In the past 40 years, CCRF has provided more than $200 million for research, education and quality-of-life dedicated to delivering better outcomes for children and families affected by cancer. In the last fiscal year, 85% of funds raised went directly to these program service areas. ChildrensCancer.org/financials

Our funding has led to breakthroughs that have helped increase childhood cancer survival rates to over 80%... but we'll keep going until we achieve a 100% cure rate and healthy survivors.

Today is International Day of Families. 🧡

On this special day, Logan and his family want to share a message to thank you for supporting all families impacted by childhood cancer.

10-year-old Logan has been fighting stage 4 hepatoblastoma with “strength and grace that is superhuman” since his diagnosis in August 2024.

Unfortunately, Logan's treatment options are now at an impasse, and he has transitioned to palliative care.

"THANK YOU for riding to fight kids' cancer, from our family to yours!" - Logan, Riley, Becca, and Jeff

Logan and his family are focused on maintaining his quality of life and making precious memories together.

Every year, 15,700 families hear the heart-breaking news, “your child has cancer.”

Your efforts to support childhood cancer research mean the world to these brave kids and their families. 🌟

GCC’ers, thank you for all you do. 🙏

UPDATE: Kane rang the bell to mark the end of his treatment, and he’s been living life to the fullest ever since! 🧡

5-year-old Kane was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in November 2023.

This brave little man endured intensive treatment including chemotherapy through his spine and port, lumbar punctures, oral chemo, blood transfusions, and countless other pokes, prods and procedures.

But through everything, he remained his happy self and inspired his parents to follow his lead. This kid is just amazing. 🙌

Thankfully, on Monday, February 3, Kane was finally able to ring the bell to mark the end of his treatment after 800 days of fighting. 🔔💪

Kane, his family, and their community celebrated this milestone with a huge party! 🎉

Since then, they haven’t wasted a moment – top of the agenda has been making memories together.

In his mom’s words, “We’re so thankful to have everything that we’ve been praying for!” ❤️

Kane has been sprinkled with pixie dust by cast members at Disneyland, he’s opened their Paint the Night parade, and he’s been sworn in as a Junior Ranger at Yosemite National Park alongside his best friend Knox (an official Bark Ranger). 😄

And they’re just getting started… they have big plans to tick off all of the 63 national parks across the country!

GCC’ers, let’s celebrate Kane KICKING CANCER’S BUTT, and all the adventures yet to come! WOOHOO!

Let’s all wish Joel a big “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”… he just turned 7 years old! 🥳✨🎂

This Spiderman-obsessed, baseball-loving legend bravely fought acute lymphoblastic leukemia and kicked cancer’s butt like a real-life superhero! ✊

He was diagnosed in March 2023, after 5 trips to the emergency room, and endured 2 years and 7 months of treatment to beat the disease...

Joel showed great bravery and resilience in navigating the challenges of his cancer journey and developed beautiful bonds with his doctor and the rest of his care team.

Thankfully, he is now finished with treatment – he took his last dose of oral chemo and then had his port removed last October (WOOHOO).

That means he’s now able to get back to being a kid. 🧡

When you ask him what his favorite thing about school is, he always responds with, “the playground!” 🛝

Recently, he’s been busy playing baseball and planning his Make-A-Wish trip. 😊

Joel, here’s to more days in the playground, more home runs, and more fun adventures as a 7-year-old (and beyond)!

Please add your "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" message below to help Joel celebrate this special milestone! 🫶

Today, we want to share 9-year-old Logan's story...

This brave little man has been battling advanced liver cancer for almost 2 years, and his story is one of incredible resilience, overcoming countless obstacles, and defying the odds.

In August 2024, Logan was given the heartbreaking diagnosis of stage 4 hepatoblastoma – an advanced form of metastatic liver cancer.

It quickly became clear that for a chance of survival, he would need an invasive multi-visceral organ transplant.

Logan endured pre-surgical chemo before undergoing one of the most difficult surgical transplant procedures imaginable in March 2025.

He also experienced life-threatening complications including intestinal perforation, profound bleeding, graft-versus-host disease, infection, and fever.

Against all odds, Logan made it through.✊

Time and time again, Logan's parents have watched their incredible son display "strength and grace that is superhuman."

In July 2025, he was able to return home, and a few months of relative stability followed.

However, since then, the path to a cure has gradually narrowed and as of earlier this month, is no longer viable. 😞

Logan is now a palliative care patient. His parents are guided by a deep conviction to “prolong Logan’s happiness, and not his suffering.”

They’ve been on such a difficult journey as a family, and continue to face impossibly hard times while committing to making every single day memorable for Logan.

GCC’ers, please keep Logan, his twin sister Riley, and his parents Becca and Jeff in your hearts and minds. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

Please join us now to make a memorable moment for Logan and his family...

POST A COMMENT below and let's send them a tidal wave of LOVE and SUPPORT from every corner of the country! 🧡

UPDATE: 10-year-old Kylie is starting the next cycle of treatment as she fights cancer for the 3rd time in her young life.

Kylie was first diagnosed with stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma in February 2022, enduring intense frontline treatment and then a year of maintenance chemotherapy.

After she finished her initial treatment, she went back to being a kid for about 14 months... before she relapsed in January 2025. 😢

This brave girl then went straight back into treatment and completed 8 x cycles of VIT chemotherapy before transitioning to a clinical trial.

Unfortunately, she relapsed again last December while on the trial. It has been a difficult time for Kylie and her family, but she continues to fight on – she’s a warrior, through and through. 💪

Kylie first joined GCC as an ambassador in 2023, and this will be her 4th year sharing her story with our community. It is such an immense privilege to witness the strength, courage, and resilience she has shown along her cancer journey. ❤️

This week, she is starting the 4th cycle of her new treatment plan as scheduled.

Unfortunately, her last scans did show slight progression so she will continue this treatment for another 3-4 cycles, after which her team will reassess if it remains the most effective path forward.

GCC’ers, please join us in sending Kylie some LOVE and SUPPORT as she takes on this next cycle of treatment! 🧡

Meet our newest ambassador Emma… she just celebrated her 3rd birthday! 💖🎂✨

Emma is her family’s wild child! She loves playing soccer, baking, doing crafts, and making up songs with her sister, Nora. 😊

Her cancer journey started last March, when she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. This little warrior immediately underwent 5 months of chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant.

Emma is now part-way through two years of maintenance treatment, during which she is receiving monthly infusions of an experimental drug.

Her family credit cancer research and new treatment options with enabling Emma to stay her active self through an otherwise challenging diagnosis and treatment. It’s their hope that sharing Emma’s story will highlight the vital importance of research.

To celebrate her birthday, Emma requested a Rapunzel-themed party! Her mom told us, “She clapped and cheered when we sang happy birthday and asked us to sing again! Seeing her feel special was the absolute best feeling.” 🥰

Unfortunately, they then spent her actual birthday in the ER after Emma spiked a fever. The medical team showered her with balloons, stuffies, and books to help her celebrate her special day. Emma and her family went home later that day, but it was still hard to spend another birthday in hospital.

Let’s all welcome this brave girl to the GCC family and wish her a big “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”! 🧡

Today is International Childhood Cancer Day. 🌎

On this day, we stand in solidarity with those children currently fighting cancer, we celebrate the battles that have been won, and we remember those who have been taken far too soon.

It’s a day to raise awareness about the unique challenges of childhood cancer and highlight the need for research to find safer and more effective treatments to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve. ❤️

Because every year, over 15,000 American children are diagnosed with cancer…

These kids should be living life, NOT fighting for it.

Our GCC ambassadors show us the true meaning of bravery and inspire us to keep pedaling when our legs grow weary and the hills start to feel like mountains. These kids won’t stop fighting, and neither will we.

Every member of our GCC movement is making their own personal impact to fight kids’ cancer and save little lives… and together, we’re UNSTOPPABLE. 🚴

As a community, we’ll keep riding and raising until we end childhood cancer... FOR GOOD. ✊

ANNOUNCEMENT: It's finally time to announce the final fundraising figure for the 2025 Great Cycle Challenge!

Drumroll please... 🥁🥁🥁

YOU have raised an INCREDIBLE $7,198,581 to KICK CANCER’S BUTT = WOOHOO! 🥳💖

This amazing result will support researchers across the country as they continue to tackle the greatest challenges in childhood cancer research.

Researchers like Dr. Brian Crompton who is developing "liquid biopsies" which are simple blood tests that can detect small DNA fragments of rhabdomyosarcoma tumors in the blood.

Because kids fighting cancer deserve better treatments and cures, and there's not a moment to waste. ✊

This community only continues to amaze us with your passion, dedication, and pedaling power! 🧡

From our kids, their families, and the GCC and CCRF team – THANK YOU! 👏😊

4-year legacy rider Tom clocked 813 miles and raised $7,351 in memory of his beloved son, Ian. 🧡

Ian had just turned 17 and was about to start his senior year of high school when he was diagnosed with stage 4 inoperable glioblastoma. 💔

Despite the odds, Ian competed in varsity volleyball, graduated high school in the top 10% of his class, and enrolled in an architecture program (he always dreamed of being an architect), all while undergoing 15 months of treatment to slow the progression of his tumor.

Then, in January 2014, the life of an amazing 18-year-old man was cut short by cancer.

Tom told us, “His mom, brother and I think about him and miss him every day.”

It was one of Tom’s friends who first introduced him to GCC and encouraged him to join, knowing his family’s story.

In 2012, he and his family were one of the thousands to hear those heartbreaking words, “you child has cancer.” They have lived through the intense pain and grief of losing a child to cancer.

Tom has also worked in medical research himself, developing treatments for adult cancers, and recognizes that childhood cancer research and treatments are both unique and underfunded.

Over his 4 years riding in GCC, Tom has ridden 4,065 miles and raised a remarkable $27,350 to fund vital research and bring hope to kids and families affected by childhood cancers. 🙌

Every mile he rides and every dollar he raises is in memory of his son, and for all kids. He says, “I’m quite sure other GCC riders would agree, this is about the kids... it's not about us.” 💪

Tom, you have built such an incredible GCC legacy… you are AMAZING! 🌟
