Over the last few months, at Zach's Second Chance we’ve been busy helping animals in need and planning events so we can continue helping even more. We wanted to share where your support is making a difference.
Thanks to your generosity, we have recently been able to assist:
🐾 Cheeks, a cat from a feral colony cared for by a rescue organization, who needed an eye enucleation (removal) due to glaucoma. We’re happy to report Cheeks is doing great.
🐾 Fiona, Susanne’s semi-feral cat, who was suffering from hair loss, hot spots, and a flea allergy. After veterinary treatment, Fiona is doing wonderfully.
🐾 Arya, Merna’s cat, who required a leg amputation due to a growing tumor. She is healing nicely and is back to her old self.
🐾 Jack Burton, Amy’s cat, who needed his canine teeth removed. Unfortunately, he suffered a reaction after surgery and required additional veterinary care over the weekend, but he is recovering.
🐾 Tiger, Amanda’s cat, who needed treatment for an ear hematoma, and Cleo, Amanda’s dog, who required a dental procedure after losing teeth and ultimately had five additional teeth removed.
🐾 An elderly dog belonging to Gina, who was suffering from degenerative myelopathy. When her quality of life declined, Gina made the difficult and loving decision to help her cross the Rainbow Bridge. (not shown)
🐾 Mike, who needed assistance trapping and obtaining veterinary care for several kittens. With the help of our rescue partners, Tammy from Purrfect Angels Cat Rescue, Inc. and South Jersey Rescue, three kittens were safely secured and taken into rescue.
There are still additional kittens and adult cats at this property that need help through TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), veterinary care, and rescue placement for the friendly young cats. Before reaching out to us, some of the kittens had been given away, making it more difficult to track and help the colony. If anyone is able to help we will provide the name and contact info.
As a reminder, Zach's Second Chance does not intake, foster, or adopt out animals. Our mission is to raise funds and provide assistance to animals in need and the people who care for them.
None of this would be possible without your support. Every donation, event attendance, share, and word of encouragement helps us continue making a difference in the lives of animals and their families.
Thank you for being part of our mission and helping us give animals in need a second chance. ❤️
Owners have given permission for their pets to be shown.
