Black Canyon Ultras Point to point 100K and 50k footraces on the Black Canyon National Recreation Trail starting in Spring Valley, AZ and finishing in New River, AZ.

A 100 kilometer and 60 kilometer point to point journey through the Sonoran desert below the foothills of the Bradshaw Mountains along the world class Black Canyon National Recreation Trail. Already a Mecca for mountain biking, Aravaipa Running presents a premiere trail running race along this epic trail. The race serves as a qualifier for the Western States Endurance Run and a Golden Ticket Race with the top two male and female runners earning spots in the 2022 event!

Wrapping up an unforgettable weekend at the Black Canyon Ultras presented by .

A celebration of redemption, personal bests, grit, and absolute rage unleashed on the legendary Black Canyon National Recreation Trail.

We’re still buzzing from the energy out there, and we love these finish line snaps of

Last year, Nancy toed the line at the Black Canyon Ultras 50K in 2025 and faced one of the toughest moments a runner can experience; a DNF at Gloriana Aid.

But if there’s one thing this trail teaches, it’s resilience.

This year? Redemption.

Nancy came back stronger, smarter, and more determined than ever. She hit every aid station with time to spare, proving that setbacks are just setups for comebacks. From Gloriana and beyond, she showed what it means to trust the process, do the work, and return with something to prove; not to others, but to herself.

That’s what this weekend was all about. Second chances. Breakthrough performances. Personal bests. And that fire that only race day can ignite.

Congratulations to each and every runner who toed the line this weekend. Whether you earned redemption, a PR, or simply the courage to start, you are what makes this community so powerful.
