Sugar ... I was tagged today in a Buzzfeed post about a rainbow cotton candy cake - not mine. I was searching through the comments looking for the person who tagged me feeling so disheartened. 😢 Most referred to the extreme amounts of sugar in the cake or called it a diabetes cake. ??? Cotton candy is mostly air. ☁️☁

So then I had to put on my detective cap do some research.🕵️‍♀ So, a typical 9 inch cake contains 1 or 2 cups of sugar. 1 cup of sugar is 16 TBSP. So the average cake is somewhere between 16 - 32 TBSP of sugar. How much sugar is in 1 of my 9 in cotton candy cakes??? Somewhere between 14 - 16 TBSP. That's it! It's all perception. Just because the main ingredient is sugar doesn't mean there is more of it!
