⚠️ Weather Update | BLAQ Forum- Due to the inclement weather expected in Baltimore this weekend, we’ve made the decision to cancel this Saturday’s BLAQ Forum to prioritize the safety of our community and volunteers.

With gratitude and a full heart, we’re sharing an important update from Blaq Equity. As many of you know, our Co–Executive Director structure was always designed as an interim model, created to guide us through a season of growth and transition. Effective immediately, we are concluding the Co-ED roles and will be working intentionally toward a single, dedicated Executive Director structure as we look ahead.

We offer our deepest thanks to Cody Lopez and Chris Henderson-West, whose tireless leadership and commitment throughout 2025 strengthened this organization and helped us celebrate the most impactful Baltimore Blaq Pride yet. Their time, energy, and belief in the mission left a meaningful mark, and we are truly grateful for all they poured into Blaq Equity and Baltimore Blaq Pride. We look forward to partnering with them in other capacities in continued support of Baltimore’s Blaq and Q***r community.

Got thoughts? Feedback? Unmet community needs? Here's your chance to share what's on your mind! The Maryland Commission on LGBTQIA+ Affairs, in partnership with the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, is conducting a Community Needs Assessment to better understand the experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals living in Maryland.

We invite you to take and help us share a brief, anonymous 15-minute survey with your networks. Your input, and that of those in your community, will help inform policies, programs, and resources that support LGBTQIA+ Marylanders. The survey is open until December 1, 2025.
