As we head into peak migration, please consider dimming or turning off lights, both indoor and outdoor overnight.

BIRD MIGRATIONS: Now detected on Doppler Radar with as many as 250,000,000 birds predicted to be in migration tonight across the United States from data via BirdCast. The annual bird migration has now reached the next level and is still a few weeks from the annual peak in May. Just like clockwork, the nocturnal migration is captured on Doppler Radar 30 to 60 minutes after sunset.

PLEASE HELP: Consider dimming or turning outdoor lights off as we head into peak bird migration season. Light pollution can disorient, confuse or disrupt normal bird migration patterns. It's little known by many that millions of birds are in migration overhead during the night!

It’s a link in the chain of mutual admiration! I send a shoutout to Jonathan Flowers, as he sends a shoutout to Mindful Music students auditioning today for the state festival.
Jon is VP of mlmta.org (local Main Line music teachers assoc) and chair of the Dorothy Sutton state festival at pamusicteachers.org. Today he’s grading theory tests as students audition at West Chester Univ. Amd he can’t wait to see everyone on Greensburg next month at the festival!
