Come for Adventure ... Experience the Wonders ... Leave with Memories!
To give you a sampling of all that is available in Douglas County, we gathered a variety of places to go, things to do, see, eat, and shop. In June of 2020 experience seven days immersed in the Missouri Ozarks. You can participate in scheduled tours and events, or you can organize your own self-guided activities. A fun filled time can be had in Ava and Douglas County year round and especially during this week-long celebration of the Ozarks.
Whether you join one of several tours, listen to interesting presentations or enjoy the activities on the Ava Square, you’ll be learning interesting facts about the history, culture, and character of the Ozarks.
If outdoor adventure is your preference, our tours offer opportunities to walk and take photos. For the more adventurous, you can go on a float trip, hike, or ride the trails in the Mark Twain National Forest.
You’ll be able to visit with local artists, artisans, and growers, listen to music, and dance to your heart’s content.
Douglas and it’s surrounding counties are full of things to do and see! We hope you enjoy your stay and create lasting memories that will encourage you to come back again and again.
