After sifting through 1,756 shots from the Stars & Stripes 250 Enduro at Grundy County Speedway, I somehow narrowed it down to 400 of my favorites.

Picture this: 30 cars all jammed up like morning traffic on I-55 — except these were Honda Civics, Chevy Cavaliers and Cobalts, Nissan Sentras, a few Saturns, and (believe it or not) a Honda Element out there mixing it up.

Add in obstacles on track, surprise water dumps to mess with grip levels, two different course layouts, and a winner who came back from two laps down after a blown tire — you couldn’t script it if you tried.

Grundy County Speedway wrapped up this year’s fair in style with the Stars and Stripes 250 Enduro on July 6! Open to any bone-stock 3 or 4-cylinder car, this wild 250-lap adventure had it all: obstacles placed on track, two different course layouts, and surprise water dumps to keep drivers on their toes. The final twist? The winner clawed back from two laps down after a blown tire to take the victory. You couldn’t script it better!

After a marathon culling session, I’ve narrowed down 1,756 photos from the Stars & Stripes 250 Enduro at Grundy County Speedway to 400 shots worth sharing. It took hours, but the action was too good not to get it right.

Big upgrade coming this weekend! I’m picking up a Canon 80D and a 55-250mm IS STM lens, and I can’t wait to put them to work at the track and on the soccer field. This combo will give me faster autofocus, sharper action shots, and more reach — exactly what I’ve needed to keep pushing my photography forward.

I’m exploring a new watermark style for my photos.

Right now, I use a tiled watermark over the whole image. I’m considering moving to a single larger logo in the center.
