The best way to start the weekend is definitely with mozzarella sticks and catching up with our sisters! We had an amazing kick-off party on Friday where we celebrated our Crown Chapter Award, brainstormed ideas to get ready to Think Pink in October, forged new connections, attempted to eat three dozen garlic knots (we failed) and soaked up alllll the sisterhood.

If you’re going to First Friday, EqualityFest, or any of the other local events in September, let us know in the GroupMe so we can say ZLAM! 👑🩵👑

Don’t forget about our fundraiser for the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia - Kelsey goes to doggy jail in just a few weeks and is in need of bail money! 😂🐾👮‍♀️💵🗝️🐶

Gainesville sisters! Our kick-off celebration is just THREE days away (or two sleeps, but who’s counting?)!!

Maybe it’s your first time meeting up with the chapter and you aren’t sure what to expect, or maybe it’s your first time at NoFo and you get antsy about parking like Kelsey (there’s a bunch free nearby if the main lot is full, but the grass and paved lots across the street are paid). Perhaps you aren’t sure what the chapter covers at these events, or are nervous about recognizing us in a big room.

We’ve got you!

Step 1: find the short girl with the gift bags and the turquoise headband/bow/scrunchie - this is Kelsey and she’s undecided about her headwear and outfit!
Step 2: wave/hug/shake hands/your preferred greeting method and introduce yourself
Step 3: enjoy snacks and goodies!

There are also plenty of surprises in store and lots of chatter about the upcoming year - we want your ideas!

To a ZTA service day at Humane Society of Northeast Georgia in Kelsey’s collegiate days (not pictured - the muddy Rottweiler she made friends with that day) to introduce our fundraising team for HSNEGA’s Adoption Lock-In!

HSNEGA also helps out with exam week puppy therapy at Brenau University, offers affordable pet care through their healthy pet clinic and no more litters initiatives, and works with fosters to give everyone a fighting chance at a happy home.

All of us Gainesville gals are home living vicariously through our sister and her experience at 𝙕𝙏𝘼 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 in Palm Springs! She and her ZTA bestie were there to receive our Crown Chapter Award 👑. And, Madilynn got some new jewelry-her Honor Ring 💍! So proud of her!

Our spring calendar has sprung!

First up is Coffee and Conversation next Saturday where we will chat about how important it is to not just listen but to truly hear the stories of others and consider multiple perspectives - based on the TED Talk “The danger of a single story.” (Link will be in bio). We will also have a discussion thread in the GroupMe to contribute remotely!

Note that the berry picking sisterhood on May 16 is subject to change once we get the Jaemor Farms u-pick schedule!

Bring a new sister to an event this spring and show her how Zeta love continues to bloom forever!
