International Air Cadet Exchange - USA The 2021 International Air Cadet Exchange has been cancelled out of an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 1946, Canada and the United Kingdom started an exchange program for the rising youth leaders in their countries to gain an understanding of the world from an international view by meeting their counterparts in each other's countries and spending time in those countries, so that the next leaders of their countries would use their memories from the program to foster a better relationship between

their countries. A year later, Civil Air Patrol joined the exchange to represent the United States. Today the exchange trades cadets from 17 to 21 years old from over 18 countries and is Civil Air Patrol's most competitive and sought-after National Cadet Special Activity.
