It’s time to put the Atlanta Quilt Festival on your calendar! We kick off this year on July 31st with the opening of Music Moves Movements, a special exhibit showing how music has been a part of major events in the world. Opening weekend is going to be filled with quilts, shopping, and prizes starting on August 2nd at the Southwest Arts Center in Atlanta, GA. This will be the ONLY market day for shopping. Make sure to check out our website for more details and to sign up for the newsletter.

Entries are open for our juried exhibit and for our special exhibit “Music Moves Movements”. To enter your quilt visit the website for more information on how to enter and check out our reel for tips to enter a quilt show. Entries are due NO LATER THAN JUNE 1st! So be sure to enter your quilts by the deadline.

It’s also time to sign up for our classes! If you’ve never quilted and want to learn how to quilt be sure to check out our beginning quilting class and if you know any young aspiring quilters check out the youth quilting class. Unfortunately “Beginning Doll Making” had to be cancelled and will not be offered this year. Also look at the Marva Swanson Lecture Series where we learn about exiting things in the quilt and art world. Can’t wait to see everyone at the festival!!
