We regret to inform you that Tweak Fest 2022 has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.
In short, the City of Marquette has decided our festival is not appropriate for the planned and discussed venue of Tourist Park. Tourist Park is the same venue where Tweak Fest 2021 was and it is so unfortunate to have to break the news to everyone who has helped make Tweak Fest what it is today. We had even been working with the Salvation Army to implement ways the festival could help those in need around the community.
This decision by the city has limited our options to different venues, at earlier dates than we are able to plan for. The date we had chosen was important because it would be when Marquette is at it's peak population, due to NMU beginning classes. The other possibility mentioned in the emails above would be the ice arena, which would have been a great compromise if it were available August 27th.
The Tweak Fest team would like to apologize to all of the talented artists and vendors who had prepared to participate in the festival. We will be sure to contact you regarding future events in due time.
Tweak Fest 2022 is officially cancelled and will not be rescheduled at this time. The team is unsure where or when the next Tweak Fest will be.
Once again, thank you everyone for your continued support. This is only a roadblock, planning for Tweak Fest 2023 will begin shortly 😈
