Each year during the Thanksgiving Break in Atlanta, the National 4-H Congress is hosted. This year’s event will be held November 28 – December 2, 2025. If you are a 4-H member between 14 and 19 years old (and have not attended in the past), you can represent NYS 4-H Youth Development at the 2025 National 4-H Congress.

This is a premiere, global-focused event filled with opportunities to make 4-H friends from around the country, explore Atlanta, give back through community service, attend powerful workshops, tours, and to head home to have deep impacts on your community, country, and world.

Applications are open for National 4-H Congress 2025!

National 4-H Congress will be held November 28- December 2, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia. National 4-H Congress is a world-class event that is diverse, authentic, and challenge-oriented. The workshops will be laser-focused on the 4-H mission, the service-learning experiences promise to be hands-on, the speakers will be engaging and entertaining, and there will be plenty of opportunities for networking and recreational activities. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Teens who will be 14-18 as of January 1, 2025 are invited to apply!

Registration opens June 1st for National 4-H Congress! This educational experience is set to take place from November 28-December 2, 2025. The registration will be open to youth currently in grades 9-12.

National 4-H Congress is a five-day Educational Experience held in Atlanta, GA. Congress is the premiere nation-wide event for 4-Hers to network with others from around the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. While at Congress, 4-Hers engage in leadership, citizenship, global awareness, and inclusion. Highlights include educational workshops, exploring the city, international events, community service, educational tours, and the National Congress Gala.

Consider registering for National 4-H Congress. Members must be age 14-18 as of January 1, 2025. Scan the QR Code on the photo to hear more about the event. If you are interested in a local scholarship to assist with payment, contact the Warren County 4-H office before registering. National Congress takes place November 28-December 2, 2025, in Atlanta, GA.

National 4-H Congress is the flagship event of the 4-H program. It is a national leadership conference held each year over the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend (Friday, November 28- December 2, 2025). Youth from the US and its territories have participated in this leadership development conference. National Congress provides youth with a quality educational and cross-cultural experience.
The program is built upon the Cooperative Extension System’s belief that young people can be significant partners in addressing the issues that face our nation, especially those affecting youth. Each year a National Design Team of 4-H youth, extension educators, and 4-H adult volunteers analyze current youth issues and determine the most effective ways to address them. The program combines special presentations, seminars, speakers, and educators present current and timely information. New Jersey sends a delegation of approximately 20 4-H members plus chaperones.
Delegate requirements:
· 4-H members must have completed at least one full 4-H year, be a registered member by January 1, 2025, and be a member in good standing in order to be eligible to apply.
· At the time of the event youth must be enrolled in grades 10-13. This means to be eligible to apply, they must be enrolled in grades 10-13 as of September 2025.
· 4-H members must demonstrate excellent 4-H public speaking skills.
· 4-H members must demonstrate leadership on the local level. Leadership at the regional or state level is preferred.
